Biography

Home parish: St. Joseph, Sharon, PA

Sr. Linda Ann Fusco was born in New York City. She was baptized at Saint Ann’s Parish in New York where she also received her first Holy Communion and Confirmation.

In 1966 her family moved to Farrell Pennsylvania where Sr. Linda graduated from Farrell Area High School in 1968. She then attended New Castle Business College where she received a diploma in 1970 for Executive Secretary studies. She taught religious education in Our Lady of Fatima and Saint Ann’s in Farrell as well as Saint Joseph’s in Sharon. She was also a member of the liturgy committee, and a lector at Saint Joseph’s. Sr. Linda was a member of the board of directors at Dwelling Place, a House of Prayer in Sharon for several years. Prior to entering the Sisters of St. Joseph, she worked at various places in the area as a secretary, sales clerk, bookkeeper, mobile home sales, and an accounting clerk for FNB Data Center.

Sr. Linda entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph on March 1, 1992 from Saint Joseph’s in Sharon. She professed her final vows on September 22, 2001. She graduated from Gannon University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and also received the Paul Dobruchin award for the love of learning. Sr. Linda taught at Blessed Sacrament School from 1996 to 2025 and has also served with our Vocation Ministry and on the Diocesan Vocation Committee.  She attended the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago for various workshops related to vocation ministry.
