SSJ Participates in 2026 Relay for Life

The Sisters of St. Joseph are proud to participate in the annual Relay for Life of Erie County.

The 2026 Relay for Life of Erie County raised $131,509.16 which exceeded the overall goal of $130,000. The Sisters of St. Joseph raised $5,300 as an organization, which exceeded the initial goal of $5,000.

The Relay for Life helps support those fighting cancer, remember loved ones, and raise critical funds for the American Cancer Society’s programs, services, and research. The funds raised by the relay will be used to help support those impacted by cancer, starting in the local Erie community.

Adding to the excitement of this year's event, Sr. Marianne Stuckert was honored with a 30 Year Volunteer Award from the Relay for Life! Sr. Marianne has led many committees over the years, been Luminaria chair, Spirit Point chair, and recently as part of the Event Leadership Team, with monthly planning meetings.

Together, we can continue supporting the American Cancer Society’s work to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
