TAKE BACK THE SITE – Prayer Vigil on August 26th

On July 7, 2026, Frederick Torrence was murdered at East 10th & Brandes St. in Erie. We invite you to join us in prayer as we seek to reclaim a place where violence has occurred, and witness to the possibility of a nonviolent way of life.
Together, we will:
• Pray for all people harmed by violence — both victims and perpetrators.
• Reclaim this place through prayer and community.
• Affirm our belief that a nonviolent way of life is possible.
Please join us for this prayer vigil on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 5:15 PM, located at East 10th & Brandes St. in Erie, PA. The vigil is sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters of Erie and Oblates, Sisters of St. Joseph, Agrégées and Associates, & Sisters of Mercy and Associates.
