Erie Diocese Sesquicentennial

The Erie Diocesan Sesquicentennial Celebration, with the theme “Share the Faith,” included a lit torch making its way through the Diocese. The torch arrived at the Sisters’ Community Living Center in September 2003 during an outdoor liturgy and celebration. This event led to the annual Circle of Friends celebration, an outdoor liturgy, and a picnic on the CLC campus grounds as an opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to come and visit. As many as 400 + guests attended each year, making Circle of Friends a highly anticipated event each summer. The afternoon included children’s games, duck races, Liturgy, and a picnic. Circle of Friends continued through 2019 until the COVID pandemic led to its conclusion.
