Anne Freitas has been on the faculty of Kent State University for 24 years. She presently is an Assistant Professor of Nursing – teaching courses in pediatrics, obstetrics and medical surgical nursing. She belongs to a number of professional organizations. Anne is currently a national nursing accreditation visitor and frequently acts as team chair for these visits. Anne has six Godchildren ranging from ages 3 to 42. She is very involved with the associate group from Sharon, PA. She makes many trips from Warren Ohio where she lives to visit her parents, family and friends in Cheektowaga, NY. She has traveled the world and found a Catholic Church everywhere, even in China.

“My faith is very important to me as it has gotten me through many difficult times and is a source of strength and encouragement,” says Anne.

She became an associate in 2005. Sister Stephanie Wagner and Associate Patricia Terwilliger were her sponsors.
