Margaret Frank, SSJ — 70 Years

Sister Margaret Frank, SSJ, was born in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. She graduated from St. Leo High School and Elementary School, Ridgway. She received an M.Ed. from Edinboro University, Edinboro, Pennsylvania, in 1974 and a BA from Villa Maria College, Erie in 1964. She also studied at Fairfield University, Connecticut, and Boston College, Boston, Massachusetts. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph on September 2, 1954, from her home parish, St. Leo, Ridgway, and professed her final vows on August 15, 1960. Sister Margaret served as administrator/principal of Villa Maria Elementary School, Erie, for more than 30 years. Previously, she was assistant professor and program director of elementary education at Villa Maria College, Erie, and served as principal at Sacred Heart School, Erie. She taught at the following schools in the Diocese of Erie: St. Peter Cathedral, St. Patrick, Blessed Sacrament, St. Andrew, and Villa Maria Elementary Schools in Erie; St. Bernard School, Bradford; and St. Agatha School, Meadville.
