We’re ready to once again serve hundreds of meals on Thanksgiving Day to our neighbors who may be alone, in need, or who might otherwise not celebrate the holiday. Over the past 30 years, we have served more than 25,000 Thanksgiving dinners! Plus, thousands and thousands of neighbors have been fed and cared for beyond Thanksgiving Day with proceeds from the Thanksgiving Dinner Fund. This year’s dinner will be served from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Gannon University’s Waldron Campus Center, 124 West 7th Street in Erie, PA. This year also marks the 10th year that Gannon University has hosted the event.
Please feel free to join us on Thanksgiving Day. Or, if you have plans and would still like to be a part of this tradition, feel free to share your blessings with those who are lonely, in need or homebound. Your gift to the Sisters of St. Joseph Thanksgiving Fund will help us serve a full holiday meal to more than 800 neighbors on Thanksgiving Day. Just as important, funds donated above and beyond our Thanksgiving costs will be distributed to area food pantries, soup kitchens and other agencies to assist neighbors throughout the year.
We hope you’ll consider joining in our Thanksgiving ministry by making a contribution to fight hunger, homelessness and poverty in our area. Your gift — of any size — will help more than you know.
Wishing you God’s blessings this Thanksgiving and always.
