Information session scheduled for November 9, 2019
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania will hold an information session for Catholic women who are seeking to deepen their spiritual lives on November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sisters of St. Joseph Community Living Center, 5031 West Ridge Road in Millcreek. Many contemporary, Catholic women find themselves seeking a deeper spiritual connection and relationship with God after many years of focusing on education, careers and even families. Information will be shared about agrégées (ah-greh-ZHEYS), the newest form of commitment to the Sisters of St. Joseph.
An information session about SSJ Agrégées will be held on November 9 at 10:00 a.m.at the Sisters of St. Joseph Community Living Center located at 5031 West Ridge Road. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Sr. Susan Herzing at 814-836-4066 or s.sherzing@ssjerie.org.
Agrégées are baptized, Catholic women who are looking for something more to deepen their relationship with God. They are women who feel called to commit themselves to Christ by embracing the mission of unity of the Sisters of St. Joseph and connecting themselves to the congregation through prayer and personal relationships. Unlike fully vowed sisters, agrégées remain in their own homes and continue living independent lives. Candidates participate in a two-year formation process before acceptance as agrégées.
