SSJ Named Outstanding Philanthropic Organization

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania were recognized as the 2019 Outstanding Philanthropic Organization at the recent National Philanthropy Day event hosted by the Northwest Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

More than 150 people attended the annual event which honors outstanding philanthropists who make an impact in the communities of northwest Pennsylvania and who inspire everyday philanthropy.

The SSJs were nominated by Almitra Clerkin, Associate Vice President for University Advancement, Gannon University.

Other honorees at the event included: 

  • Outstanding Youth Philanthropists: Erie Day School Student Body
  • Outstanding Philanthropic Organization, Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania
  • Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Fundraisers, Jim and Judy Dible
  • Outstanding Philanthropist, Andrew J. Conner
