Thanks to three foundations – The Norbert Hardner Foundation, SOAR! and the SSJ Mission & Ministries Foundation – Sisters and staff will be safer and more connected in 2020. Since January, nearly $85,000 in grant funds have been awarded to the Sisters of
St. Joseph to cover the following projects:

• $36,000 from the Hardner Foundation replaced the 25-year-old freezers in the CLC kitchen;
• $19,900 from SOAR! will purchase alternating pressure mattresses and wheelchair/seat cushions to prevent pressure ulcers;
• An additional $14,165 from a SOAR! Rapid Response grant will buy personal protection supplies and equipment to keep Sisters and staff safe during the COVID crisis, as well as 15 iPads to keep Sisters connected to family, friends and those they serve;
  and
• $14,424 from the SSJ Mission & Ministries Foundation will purchase an additional 15 iPads, as well as other necessary supplies.
