Our upcoming election is slated to be one of the most important of our lifetime. As a result, the U.S. Federation of Sisters of St. Joseph is asking all SSJ congregations and communities to join in our 100 Days of Prayer – Wrapping Our Nation In Prayer initiative. The special sheet was sent out via email for your use. Wrapping our Nation in Prayer will begin Sunday, November 1, 2020, and continue through Saturday, November 7, 2020.
Here is how it works: each day at 12:00 noon, all Sisters of St. Joseph, agrégées, associates, and friends are asked to pray for the daily intention and then say the prayer written by Pat Bergan, CSJ, which is located at the bottom of the sheet. The idea is that by each congregation praying at noon, prayers will be said every day throughout the day depending on the time zone in which you live – thus wrapping our nation in prayer each day of this election week.
In Erie, PA, each day’s prayer will be read by sisters at our Community Living Center CLC noon. Please join our sisters and others around the country by taking a few minutes at noon to pray the daily intention and Sr. Pat’s prayer. Even though we can’t physically be together to pray, our prayers can unite and cover our nation.
