If you have ever received a call asking to donate bread or a  pie donations or to volunteer at  the Thanksgiving Dinner or Circle of Friends celebration, you were most likely speaking with Carol Hermann.  Carol is the development associate in the Sisters of St. Joseph Development office. Carol works remotely from her home in Pinehurst, NC and communicates with staff via SKYPE. She travels to Erie about four times a year to work on site. 

Prior to being hired by the SSJs, Carol worked at Saint Vincent Hospital where she came to admire the Sisters of St. Joseph and their charism.

She became an associate in 2008 and her mentor was Sister Colette Palmer. 

Carol admits that she always dreamed of working with the sisters. That dream became a reality when she was hired as Development Assistant for the congregation before later becoming the first Quality of Life Director for the sisters at the Community Living Center.   She later returned to the Development office.

Carol is married to Jim Hermann and has identical twin step-daughters.  Carol is a twin herself.
